So my understanding is that the Speedmaster has a 9mm clasp end link connection and the micro adjustment clasp found on the Mkii speedmaster has a 7mm, so there is some end links required to do the swap. The common numbers I see are, 0117stz001154 - Clasp 0118ST1589 - End links (need two).Most likely you won't be able to get the fork inside the clasp and have room to compress the springbar. So you poke the hole from the outside (heyyyyy) and compress it that way while applying a little lateral pressure on the part attached inside the clasp, to try and slide it .
The 1998/849 Speedmaster clasp and clasp links also fit, but with this set-up the clasp is a little tricky to close if the inner micro-adjustment hole is used. Why? Because the 1620/887 and 1621/990 clasps have a longer clasp link on the 12 o'clock side, to keep the taller links of the Broad Arrow bracelet away from the clasp.
